So far my first few days of Welsh food was disappointing so decided to try Italian. The pizza was thin and nice and the pasta was flavourful!Just very grateful we finally found a place that’s flavourful than pub food ♥️Reasonable price as well

You’ll need to reserve a table, being the only good Italian restaurant in the area. I would have preferred a bit more whitebait for my starters but the rest of the meal was good. Service was nice and the prices were reasonable.
La Piccola Italia is a must-visit if you're in Monmouth. I've been to a few Italian places in the Monmouthshire area and have not been that impressed so far with both price and quality but La Piccola Italia puts the rest of them to absolute shame.In terms of atmosphere, it is definitely a cozy spot. The restaurant is not massive but it is well decorated and is a very intimate setting. You might find it difficult with a large group here as it would be a tight squeeze.The customer service was fantastic. Our wait staff was very attentive and friendly. We could not fault the staff whatsoever.Food-wise is where La Piccola Italia shines. Nearly everything we ordered was fantastic, including a lovely selection of starters. I particularly recommend the Salmone Ripieno if you're a fan of smoked salmon like me.The only thing I would say is that I would skip the Antipasti board next time I visit. Even though it was tasty, the selection did not have as much variety as I had hoped.However, after 2 visits and different choices both times, it doesn't seem like the kitchen staff can put a foot wrong. If you enjoy Italian food or even food in general, I highly recommend La Piccola Italia.
